Description:  Be in the minority!  That’s right, the minority of businesses who actually pass the four year mark when the majority of businesses fail.  What does it take to create a business that not only defies the odds but can create a strong profit too?  Nancy has learned what works and what doesn’t from her corporate experience, from her journey as a long time employee to a successful business owner, and while working with numerous small business clients.  She’s delighted to share with you her favorite strategies for success as well as selected resources… so you can choose to defy the odds.

Bio:  Nancy is passionate about helping business professionals step into their greatness and achieve the success they desire.  Whether it’s creating a successful business, earning more income, or living a bold and vibrant life, she’s committed to using her knowledge, her talents and her skills to help others achieve success their way.  A “corporate escapee” with 14 years of management experience, Nancy has also been a small business owner for more than six years.  She continually draws from her professional experience and a rich personal background while coaching and consulting. Nancy is a professional certified coach with a degree in computer programming and extended studies in business.

Topic:  The Permission Principle

Description:  How aware are you of the Permission Principle? Do you sabotage your own efforts by violating unspoken boundaries? If we don’t know what nonverbal cues to look for, we inadvertently cross the invisible line of permission. This costs us credibility, effectiveness, and eventually long-term success. Get ready to view effective communication in a whole new light. The Permission Principle applies to presentation skills, business and personal relationships, negotiations and more. Understanding nonverbal communication and how it helps navigate the area of permission is the key to increased influence in the educational, corporate, and personal realm.

Bio:  Sari de la Motte, CEO and founder of Nonverbal Solutions, engages her audience by sharing the power of nonverbal communication with relevant examples, practical applications and humor. She has trained extensively with an internationally recognized authority in nonverbal communication and leads workshops based in nonverbal communication strategies throughout the United States. Sari also provides one-on-one coaching to individuals who are seeking to expand influence in the workplace. In addition to her consulting work Sari has taught on the faculty of Pacific University and Portland State University.
