MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wagers 2 Spring has finally arrived, we are getting more daylight each day and it's even getting a little warmer as well. Aren't all the flowers beautiful this time of the year?
Most of us really look forward to spring with a renewed sense of excitement and energy after the long winter, seeing all the new growth is remarkable.
Have you thought about how you will take that same personal excitement and energy into your coaching practice this year to see it take-off and reach a new level? How will you grow as a coach this year?
My suggestion is come to one of our monthly meetings, network with your peers and learn a new skill that you can use in your practice or meet and help mentor a newer coach. We had a wonderful guest speaker last month, C. J. Hayden author of the book Get Clients Now, where among other topics we built a media kit. There were approximately 70 coaches in attendance, yes I said 70 coaches in one room at the same time right here in Portland. I'd call that a wonderful opportunity to network with your peers, learn or keep up on what's happening in the world of coaching, hear a great speaker, learn a new skill or earn CEU's. I hope to see you at our next meeting, the details are below.
Best regards,
Dave Wagers
NWCA 2007 President
Speakers' Bios:
Bob Renggli - Inside Corporate Sales Coach at RICOH-USA
  • Joined NWCA in December 2003
  • Masters Degree in Family Life Studies
  • 25 years corporate experience in sales & sales training with many national awards
  • Since 2003, a major shift from sales training to sales coaching as an "inside corporate sales coach"
  • Independent personal coaching practice since 2003
  • NWCA Pres-Elect for 2007
Randi Rosenfield - Turning Point Alliance
TURNING POINT ALLIANCE is a coaching business that provides executive and team coaching services to clients across the U.S. Randi Rosenfield, M.A., A.C.C., is the owner and a professional coach. She specializes in senior leadership coaching that results in powerful leadership, strong teams, and effective change management. Her work includes strategies to accelerate an executive's entry into a new organization, eliminating months of unproductive transition time.
With 25 years in leadership, team and organizational development, Ms. Rosenfield brings depth and breadth of experience to her coaching clients. Her background includes 18 years working in high-stakes, fast-paced, corporate environments that were constantly facing change. Her last corporate position was serving as Nike's Director of Training and Development for the Global Footwear organization. Randi also worked for 7 years with not-for-profit organizations. Some of Randi's current coaching clients include: the Boeing Company, Columbia Sportswear, Portland General Electric and Oregon Public Broadcasting.
Larry Ferguson - Compass Consulting Group
Larry Ferguson owns and manages Compass Consulting Group (a division of Larry Ferguson & Associate, Inc.). His focus is on partnering with senior leaders and managers to identify ways of aligning performance with customer expectations to increase market share and customer retention. Depending upon the situation and desired outcomes, he employs a variety of tools to achieve results -- executive or individual coaching, workshops, retreats, online learning courses, training classes, self-paced study tools, etc. He is particularly skilled in assisting service teams that have lost their effectiveness due to internal political turmoil, lack of clear direction, or differences in work styles
Kim Blanquie - Summit Coaching
Kim is a successful coach and management strategist, who over the last 20 years, has worn many hats in the fields of real estate and finance; serving as a realtor, a processor, an underwriter, a loan originator, and an account executive to the lending and real estate communities. Over the years, she has also published many coaching and real estate related articles in The Scottsman Journal, Mortgage Originator Magazine, and other business and trade publications.
In 2003, Kim became a coach to top mortgage producers across the country when she took a coaching job with a company called Building Champions. As Kim worked with her managers, though, she noticed a recurring theme; even though most of them were once top producers, they found it could be difficult to motivate others and help their teams get the results they wanted. This realization, and a new focus on emotional intelligence, brought about the birth of her own company, Summit Leadership Coaching in 2004. Kim's mission now is to help managers motivate and lead high production teams.
In 2006 Kim became affiliated with the Anthony Robbins Companies. Tony's motivational strategies for success are well known, and Kim saw that aligning with them was an excellent way to bring even more value to her clients. Now she is the person that Tony Robbins sends his mortgage and real estate clients to. She loves working with them, and the Anthony Robbins Group has become a consistent and thriving pillar of her business.
Sincerely,
Programs Team:
Colleen Bourassa
Feroshia Knight
